Effective Writing: "The Aging '53 Belair"
My father has a 1953 Chevy that lays dormant and is showing its age. Pulling up over the crest of my fathers long curving drive way a lifeless 1953 Chevy Belair grabs my attention. While climbing out of my car and strolling over to the vehiclethe paint is the first thing I notice. Confusion sets in until I am only a matter of inches from actually touching the car. Looking past all the years of the weather taking a beating on the car like a boxer beats his opponent till they are black and blue; I can then see the car once in its glory days was white. This white paint is now flaking away its layers from the hot sun pounding down. Most sections of the car are no longer white, but a dull mossy green. After noticing the paint I cannot miss the tires. All four tires sit airless showing no signs of moving. Around the edges are hundreds of minute cracks that wrap the tires like numbers around a clock. Long lanky blades of grass lay any which way without order from where the lawn mower blades cannot reach. From the tires my eyes cannot miss the half hanging rear bumper. The chrome has long lost its shine and attraction. Spots of u rust and a dull gray tone are the only things that shine in this bumper now. The once top of the line 1953 Chevy Belair now extremely weather abused, and neglected lays dormant and severely aged.
